Filter and Gasket Information
PML designed this pan to work with the stock filter and gasket.
A filter extension is not needed. This pan is one inch deeper than stock. There is plenty of mixing of fluid when the engine is running to to prevent a stagnant layer at the bottom of the pan.
The filter pick up and fluid level are at the same location with the PML pan as with the stock pan.
PML recommends a cork or cork composite gasket with this pan.

Drain
The drain is on the driver side of the vehicle. A magnetic drain plug is included with the pan.
A hole for a temperature sending unit can optionally be machined also on the driver's side a few inches toward the rear of the vehicle from the drain plug.
The picture shows drain hole and the optional NPT drilled and tapped on the pan.
The drain hole is larger and close to the bottom of the pan.
