PML designed this pan for Chrysler Dodge 4, 5 and 6 speed transmissions: 68RFE, 66RFE, 65RFE, 545RFE, and 45RFE
Benefits:
Drain and magnetic drain plug included
Extra Capacity
Heavy duty sand cast aluminum construction
Finned on the bottom for heat dissipation
Machined flat, large sealing surface for a leak free seal
Clears cooling lines on 2013 and newer Ram diesel trucks
Check your exhaust routing. Many Hemi engine trucks and SUVs have the exhaust under the stock pan and will need PML 2 quart over or stock capacity pan.
Always check your vehicle to verify your configuration and clearance.
Once installed the bottom of this pan is parallel to the ground.
Included with PML Pan
Pan ships with new mounting bolts and a magnetic drain plug. If the pan is drilled and tapped for a 1/8 NPT, a plug is included.
Bolts on front and rear of pan: The bolt holes on front and rear of transmission case are not through holes. PML provided bolts allow thickness for a gasket and may bottom out if a gasket is not used or if the gasket is thin. Do not over torque. Make sure holes are clean and compare the hole depth to the length of the bolt, thickness of the pan flange, and gasket thickness when gasket is compressed.
Filter Information
There are several stock pans and filters for the 68RFE, 66RFE, 65RFE, 545RFE, 45RFE Chrysler/Dodge transmissions. This pan works with any OEM or compatible filter.
The filter bolts on to the valve body. No filter support or extension is needed. PML designs pans and covers to work with stock parts without the need for additional modifications or complications. The fluid will be at the same level with a stock pan as with the PML pan. The filter will pick up from the same place. Installer must verify filter function and fitment with PML pan.
Inside of PML Transmission Pan
Baffles on the inside of the pan keep the oil near the pickup tube, act as heat sinks to help with cooling, and reduce sloshing.
Drain and Temperature Sensor Port on Driver Side
This is the driver or left side of the transmission pan:
The larger hole is the drain hole. A magnetic drain plug is included.
The smaller hole is drill and tapped for a 1/8 NPT temperature sending unit. A plug for the hole is included.
Passenger Side
This is the passenger or right side of this PML transmission pan:
The passenger front corner steps down to clear cooling tubes on some 2013 and newer diesel trucks.
Gasket Information
For a gasket, PML recommends an inexpensive cork or cork composite type gasket or the silicon gasket maker. Some Dodge vehicles use the Mopar silicon gasket maker, which comes in a tube, with the stock pan. This works fine with a PML pan.
