Description

This system is designed for the customer that keeps their truck on the road with an eye for quality and appreciation for bang for their buck. Utilizing Carli SPEC 2.0″ Diameter, Internal Reservoir shocks, we’ve developed a tune that delivers all-around comfort and ride quality designed for on-road, in-town, highway, and towing/hauling. The 2.5” lift height doesn’t require the front or rear geometry correction of our 3” Systems.

At the heart of this system is a 2.5” lift, Linear Rate Coil Spring paired to matched travel mono-tube, internal reservoir, Carli SPEC 2.0. These shocks boast 6063 Aluminum construction, anodized body for corrosion resistance, 5/8″ hardened steel chrome plated shaft, full serviceability & re-buildability and are built with 1-peice bushings in the 6061 billet rod-ends. These shocks are spec’d with a premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. In 2019, Ram lowered the rear of the 3500 trucks – for this reason, we’re now providing a 1″ Billet Block and U-Bolts to fit the larger AAM 12″ Axle (4.25″ Axle Tubes). As the rear springs remain unmodified aside from the lift block, load capacity is maintained while predictability is improved. For those that aren’t looking for a massive increase in travel or big shocks but still desire a level stance and improved ride quality and handling characteristics, this is the perfect kit. The 2.5” lift height doesn’t require the geometry correction of our 3” Systems.

The front axle will be slightly pulled to the Driver’s side following the installation of the lift; this can be corrected with the addition of our Adjustable Track Bar. Further, ride quality can be substantially increased with the addition of our Torsion Sway Bar. We recommend a 35” tire on a wheel that’s no more than 9” wide with 5.5”-6” Backspace. An 18” diameter wheel will be best to ensure optimal ride quality (more rubber = better small bump compliance) and an unloaded tire pressure of 45F/40R is recommended. Tires and Wheels: How Do They Affect My Ride?

**This system will NOT be upgradeable to any other Carli Suspension Systems.** 

It’s designed to be a solution for customers wanting a quality system with minimal lift and part inclusion. We recommend slight eccentric bolt compensation to correct caster after the lift as there are no Radius Arm Drops. For this reason, customers may experience a slight bow in the coil spring. We did not experience a coil bow in any of our test trucks but it’s possible at the 2.5” lift height without a Radius Arm Drop Bracket.

This system is NOT compatible with trucks equipped with the factory auto-leveling air assist.

This system is tuned for the 3500s equipped with rear leaf springs. It will install on the 3500 trucks equipped with the factory auto-leveling air assist but the tuning is NOT refined to the platform. We recommend you measure the truck as it often takes less than 2.5″ of front lift to level the Air-Assist Rams.

Customization Information

Adjustable Track Bar

*OPTIONAL but HIGHLY Recommended* - Following the 2.5 Inch lift this system provides, the axle will be pulled 3/4" toward the driver's side if the customer elects to run the factory track bar. Our Adjustable track bar will correct this issue, allowing re-centering of the axle at the new ride height, while providing rebuildability, additional strength and longevity vs. the factory track bar.

 Torsion Sway Bar

*OPTIONAL* - The 2.5 Inch Leveling Systems do not require any sway bar geometry correction; customers are free to run the factory sway bar and links without risking damage. That said, the Torsion Sway Bar is a HUGE ride quality upgrade. Maintaining the factory sway bar is only recommended for customers requiring the stiff rate of the factory sway bar - i.e.: those with snow-plows, in-bed campers or who are constantly hauling to the capacity of the truck.

Radius Arm Drop Bracket

*OPTIONAL* - The 2.5 Inch Carli Systems DO NOT require these. Lifting the front 2.5" and maxing the caster correction (adjusting the cam-bolts to the rear of their adjustment) will provide sufficient caster to reach the Ram recommended alignment spec. This may cause a slightly coil bow but it's perfectly operable. If you'd prefer to achieve a proper caster spec with the cam-bolt in the middle of its range and want to guarantee a straight, non-bowing coil, these Radius Arm Drop Brackets are the answer.

Leaf Spring Shackle

*OPTIONAL* - Much of the jarring ride of the 3500 rear can be attributed to the factory vulcanized bushings in the leaf spring pack and shackle. The factory shackle is very strong BUT the design is not conducive to a smooth ride. The Carli shackle is constructed of 1/4″ American cold-rolled steel. The mid-length gusset ensures no deflection while the serviceable bushings offer a far superior ride to the bind of the factory bushings.

Low Mount Steering Stabilizer

*OPTIONAL* - Bolt in steering stabilizer (factory location). Adjustable from 70-200 psi to run neutral (no directional influence at 70psi) or at 200psi to counter the left-hand pull inherent to tires like Nitto Trail Grapplers. Run in conjunction with the Carli High Mount for the ultimate Dual, Opposing Steering Stabilizer combination that's infinitely adjustable.

High Mount Steering Stabilizer
