Does not work with rear auto-level air suspension.

This system is tuned for the 3500s equipped with rear leaf springs. It will install on the 3500 trucks equipped with the factory auto-leveling air assist but the tuning is NOT refined to the platform. We recommend you measure the truck as it often takes less than 2.5″ of front lift to level the Air-Assist Rams.

 This system is designed for the customer who refuses to keep the rubber on the tarmac and has an eye for quality and appreciation for bang-for-their-buck. At the heart of this system is a 2.5” lift, Linear Rate Coil Spring paired to matched travel King 2.5” Remote Reservoir Shocks that have been custom tuned, in house, for superior ride quality and handling both on-road and off. The rear piggyback reservoir shocks are also included with this system and have been custom tuned to maximize the ride quality of the factory rear leaf springs. Aside from the block, the rear springs remain unmodified and thus, load capacity is maintained while on and off-road handing and predictability are massively improved. For those that love the way their Ram tows from the factory but don’t want to be limited to a crawl when leaving the pavement, this is the perfect kit.

Tires and Wheels: How Do They Affect My Ride?

**This system will NOT be upgradeable to any other Carli Suspension Systems.**

 It’s designed to be a solution for customers wanting a quality, big-shock system boasting huge off-road capability, minimal lift and NO reduction in payload or hauling capacity. We recommend slight eccentric bolt compensation to correct caster after the lift as there are no Radius Arm Drops included. For this reason, customers may experience a slight bow in the coil spring. We did not experience a coil bow in any of our test trucks but it’s possible at the 2.5” lift height without a Radius Arm Drop Bracket. A Radius Arm Drop Bracket can be added to alleviate bow and recenter the caster adjustment if bow is encountered. This system will result in tight and responsive, sports-car like handling; the 3” Suspension Systems will ride softer in the rear given the included reduced capacity rear springs.

Customiziation Information

Torsion Sway Bar

*OPTIONAL*

The 2.5 Inch Leveling Systems do not require any sway bar geometry correction; customers are free to run the factory sway bar and links without risking damage. That said, the Torsion Sway Bar is a HUGE ride quality upgrade. Maintaining the factory sway bar is only recommended for customers requiring the stiff rate of the factory sway bar - i.e.: those with snow-plows, in-bed campers or who are constantly hauling to the capacity of the truck.

Radius Arm Drop Bracket

*OPTIONAL*

The 2.5 Inch Carli Systems DO NOT require these. Lifting the front 2.5" and maxing the caster correction (adjusting the cam-bolts to the rear of their adjustment) will provide sufficient caster to reach the Ram recommended alignment spec. This may cause a slightly coil bow but it's perfectly operable. If you'd prefer to achieve a proper caster spec with the cam-bolt in the middle of its range and want to guarantee a straight, non-bowing coil, these Radius Arm Drop Brackets are the answer.

Leaf Spring Shackle

Much of the jarring ride of the 3500 rear can be attributed to the factory vulcanized bushings in the leaf spring pack and shackle. The factory shackle is very strong BUT the design is not conducive to a smooth ride. The Carli shackle is constructed of 1/4″ American cold-rolled steel. The mid-length gusset ensures no deflection while the serviceable bushings offer a far superior ride to the bind of the factory bushings.

Low Mount Steering Stabilizer

Bolt in steering stabilizer (factory location). Adjustable from 70-200 psi to run neutral (no directional influence at 70psi) or at 200psi to counter the left-hand pull inherent to tires like Nitto Trail Grapplers. Run in conjunction with the Carli High Mount for the ultimate Dual, Opposing Steering Stabilizer combination that's infinitely adjustable.
